Megan + Nick - Dashing Stillwater Wedding at JX

Megan and Nick’s story began about ten years ago at the University of Minnesota. They were both in the fraternity/sorority scene, and Megan had her eyes set on Nick early. She claimed him to be her “Pike boyfriend” to her friend Anna, even before they’d met. They eventually met and found that it was an instant connection.

The love and connection they have with each other, even after ten years, was so evident. It truly made me so happy to see them look into each other’s eyes and smile at one another. Aside from the strong bond that they share, they’re both individually super cool people! The energy they brought into a room made you want to be around them.

I’m so glad I got to be a small part of your big day, and I wish you two nothing but the best in your marriage!
-Ty :)

Maggie + Steve - Stunning Backyard Wedding in Medina, MN

During the ceremony, Rex, the officiant, mentioned multiple times how intentional these two are, and I couldn’t agree more. They are so authentic, kind, and thoughtful. I noticed right away when I met them at their apartment. How they talked about incorporating different small businesses and friends and the importance of the guest experience was incredible. Here are a few examples of things that I thought were cool and unique: 1. The florist, Kindred Bloom, foraged a lot of the table decorations, ceremony flowers, grasses, mushrooms, apples, etc. 2. Their bartender and friend, Marco Zappia, designed three waves of cocktails and mocktails for the guests to enjoy throughout the evening!

Furthermore, they told me that they didn’t want their video to be “fake” in the way that social media often presents people and products. Steve said something like, “If one of the little kiddos is having a tantrum, film that and put it in the video!” Well, to my knowledge, there weren’t any tantrums, but there were lots of smiles from the little ones and the many friends and family members present on this wonderful day. Again, these two were and are amazing, and I’m so thankful I got to be a small part of their big day! Congrats, you two :)  -Ty

Kristine + Wyatt - Beautiful North Shore Wedding at Clyde Iron Works

Kristine and Wyatt (and honestly, their family) were quite literally some of the most genuinely kind, caring, and friendly people I have ever met. I always feel so welcomed whenever I walk into a bridal suite, and the bride says hi and makes an announcement about who I am, and Kristine went above and beyond that. Throughout the morning, she kept checking in with us (vendors) and made sure that we were taken care of and had everything we needed. Although I didn’t get as much one-on-one face time with Wyatt throughout the day, I could tell from a distance that he was a sweet and kind individual, and by the end of the night, that was confirmed. I remember saying goodbye, and he had the most friendly smile on his face and was so appreciative of us being there to capture their special day.

Here are two more examples of how friendly and kind these people were multiple times throughout the day. First, I remember hearing Kristine talking to vendors and saying, “Hi, I’m Kristine; what’s your name?” It was very humanizing and made me, and I’m sure many other vendors, feel so appreciated. Lastly, Kristine’s dad ran to the door from the dance floor after the photographer and I left to say goodbye and thank us for being there. Like, who does that? It was so kind and thoughtful.

While I didn’t get to meet their adorable dog, Henry, I did meet some other amazing people at this wedding! And despite their day being a little dreary, these two rolled with the punches and enjoyed the day with their amazing wedding party and many other close family and friends. It also cleared up a bit in the evening, and we got to head over to the lift bridge at Canal Park! Peep that session at the end of the video 👀 Finally, Kristine and Wyatt did some dance lessons before their wedding, so their first dance was amazing. I also always love to see cold sparks at a wedding! I remember getting chills when the cold sparks hit with their finishing move at the end of their first dance.

Long story long, this was such a fun day filled with so many smiles and so much love. Congrats, you two! I’m very happy for both of you :)  -Ty

Isabel + Matt - Distinguished Wedding at The Blaisdell

Here are a few words that I would use to describe Isabel and Matt’s wedding: distinguished, aesthetic, elegant. This wedding was so beautiful, from the day itself, getting to go to Lake of the Isles for their first look, wedding party photos, and other portraits to the decorations at The Blaisdell done by the coordinators at HoneyHill Weddings and the florist. Additionally, Isabel’s dress blew everyone away, including me. It was unique, and the details, like the blue butterflies and flowers on the dress, were stunning. These two were so easy to talk to and be around. The joy of their family and friends and their love for each other made this truly an incredible day! Congrats, you two! I wish you nothing but the best in your marriage :)  -Ty

Jennifer + Adam - Heartwarming Wedding at Lafayette Club

Jennifer and Adam’s wedding was a day filled with so many emotions. Sadly, Jenn’s father passed away and wasn’t able to be present on her big day. In our pre-wedding meeting, Jenn told me a cute story about her father. She told me that she showed him a past Olsen Media videos at the Lafayette Club that included drone footage. He responded with something like “Oh wow, that’s really cool. How much does it cost to rent a helicopter?” It made me smile. Although Jenn’s father wasn’t able to be present, her cousin, Joey, was able to stand in his place and walk her down the aisle. It was clear to see how close they were and it was truly a special moment to witness.

Adam was a joy right from the beginning. His warm smile and kind eyes made me feel so welcome. It maybe also helped that he complimented my tattoo ;) His groomsmen brought about similar welcoming qualities. Adam’s crew was definitely fun to be around.

As soon as you saw Jennifer and Adam together you could tell that they were truly friends and were madly in love with one another. I hope married life has been treating you two well. I wish you all the best :)  -Ty

Claire + Alex - Beautiful Downtown Minneapolis Wedding

Claire and Alex were some of the kindest people I’ve ever met. They almost always had smiles on their faces and you could tell they were genuine, caring people. These two met with the help of Claire’s self-proclaimed big sister, Laura, at her wedding and had a “shut up and dance” moment and the rest is history. Congrats you two, I wish you nothing but the best and I hope that you have many more shut up and dance moments in the future :)  -Ty

Amanda + Alan - Intimate Northwoods Wedding at Grand View Lodge

Amanda and Alan’s wedding was untraditional, which made it all the more fun! It was an intimate gathering of close family and friends to join in on their morning wedding, followed by celebrating with cake and a few toasts, and finishing off the day with some time on the water. It was so fun capturing their day with both my camera and my drone. These two were so amazing and chill to work with. Congrats again, and I wish you all the best! -Tyler
